De moeder van Carrera sprong internationaal 1.45m en is de halfzus van de beroemde internationale springhengst Tinka’s Boy, die onder Markus Fuchs vele Grote Prijzen en wereldbekerwedstrijden won, waaronder ook de finale. Carrera schitterde onder Jur Vrieling, met wie hij succesvol was op het hoogste niveau. Carrera VDL ontpopt zich als net zo’n vererver als zijn vader Cardento. Carrera’s dam, an international 1.45m jumper, is the half-sister of the famous international jumping stallion Tinka’s Boy.
