Carrera VDL

De Grand Prix hengst Carrera is zeer opvallend en interessant gefokt uit een combinatie van twee
Olympiade hengsten. Zijn vader Cardento won met ruiter Peter Eriksson maar liefst driemaal een
zilveren medaille: op de Olympische Spelen, het EK en het WK. In de fokkerij drukt hij zijn stempel
met internationaal sterk presterende nakomelingen die deelnemen aan EK’S, WK’s en Olympische
Spelen. Grootvader Baloubet du Rouet was, met Rodrigo Pessoa, Olympisch Kampioen en won maar
liefst driemaal de wereldbekerfinale. Hij won meerdere Grote Prijzen en wereldbeker kwalificaties en
is vader van o.a. VDL Bubalu, Palloubet en Chaman. Daarna vinden we Nurzeus, de hengst die veel
goede springpaarden bracht als o.a. Midnight Madness, Zippo, Ennio etc.
De moeder van Carrera sprong internationaal 1.45m en is de halfzus van de beroemde internationale
springhengst Tinka’s Boy, die onder Markus Fuchs vele Grote Prijzen en wereldbekerwedstrijden
won, waaronder ook de finale.
Carrera schitterde onder Jur Vrieling, met wie hij succesvol was op het hoogste niveau. Carrera won
o.a. de Grote Prijs van Vestfold, de Grote Prijs van de Wolden en een 1.50m in Bonheiden en in
Oldenburg. Met het Nederlandse team werd hij winnaar van de Nations Cup in Drammen. Zijn
carrière werd vroegtijdig beëindigd wegens een blessure.
De Grand-Prixhengst Carrera combineert de genen van Cardento en Baloubet du Rouet met de
moederlijn van springlegende Tinka’s Boy. Zijn uitstekende pedigree en uitzonderlijke
springkwaliteiten maken ook dat Carrera een goede fokhengst is. Zijn nakomelingen vallen op met
hun springmanieren en atletisch vermogen en presteren al op het hoogste niveau. Jup won de Grote
Prijs van Londen, terwijl de talentvolle Lena VDL tweede werd in de GP van Ocala. Cadillac Z won
zilver op het EK junioren en werd eerder Nederlands kampioen van de junioren. Op 1.60 niveau zien
we o.a. Good Farmings, Greatest Boy H, Imar, en Krachtpatser. Deze en vele andere succesvolle
nakomelingen onderstrepen Carrera’s potentie als tophengst.

The Grand Prix stallion Carrera is very striking and interestingly bred from a combination of two
Olympic stallions. His father, Cardento, won three silver medals with rider Peter Eriksson: at the
Olympic Games, the European Championship, and the World Championship. In breeding, he leaves
his mark with internationally successful offspring who compete at the European Championships,
World Championships, and Olympic Games. Grandfather Baloubet du Rouet, with Rodrigo Pessoa,
was Olympic Champion and won the World Cup final three times. He won numerous Grand Prixs and
World Cup qualifiers and is the father of, among others, VDL Bubalu, Palloubet, and Chaman. Next,
we find Nurzeus, the stallion that produced many top showjumping horses such as Midnight
Madness, Zippo, Ennio, and more.

Carrera's mother jumped internationally at 1.45m and is the half-sister of the famous international
showjumping stallion Tinka's Boy, who, under Markus Fuchs, won many Grand Prixs and World Cup
competitions, including the final.

Carrera shone under Jur Vrieling, with whom he was successful at the highest level. Carrera won,
among other events, the Grand Prix of Vestfold, the Grand Prix of de Wolden, and a 1.50m in
Bonheiden and Oldenburg. With the Dutch team, he won the Nations Cup in Drammen. His career
was cut short due to an injury.

the talented Lena VDL finished second in the GP of Ocala. Cadillac Z won silver at the European
Championship for Juniors and was previously the Dutch Junior Champion. At the 1.60m level, we see,
