New Pleasure VDL

Vader For Pleasure sprong onder zowel Lars Nieberg als Marcus Ehning naar olympisch teamgoud in 1996 en 2000 en groeide in de fokkerij uit tot één van de invloedrijkste hengsten allertijden. Datzelfde geldt voor grootvader Diamant de Semilly, die onder Eric Levallois zelf ook teamgoud won, namelijk in 2002 op de Wereldruiterspelen in Vejer de la Frontera. Overgrootvader Darco is de volgende grootheid in de pedigree van New Pleasure VDL; om over betovergrootvader Quidam de Revel nog maar te zwijgen.

De moderne voshengst New Pleasure VDL is gefokt uit de merrie Lady-A ter Putte, die zelf onder Andres Vereecke op 1.45m-niveau actief was. Zij gaf in de fokkerij reeds de Zangersheide goedgekeurde hengsten Quick Star ter Putte en Rock Star ter Putte. Daarnaast is Lady-A ter Putte de volle zus van de beroemde Elvis ter Putte. Onder Karline De Brabander was Elvis jarenlang succesvol op Grand-Prixniveau en in de fokkerij behoort hij tot één van de best verervende Diamant de Semilly-zonen. Zijn volle broer Favorit Ask maakt vooral in Denemarken furore en wordt daar gezien als een ware stempelhengst. Grootmoeder Ukase ter Putte gaf daarnaast ook nog de merrie MoM’s Isaura – een dochter van Tinka’s Boy die wordt uitgebracht door topruiter Pieter Devos. New Pleasure VDL’s overgrootmoeder Quinette ter Putte gaf daarnaast de bekende Skyhorse, die onder Lillie Keenan tot de beste springpaarden van de Verenigde Staten behoort.

New Pleasure blinkt uit door atletisch vermogen, goede reflexen en veel overzicht. In het KWPN-verrichtingsonderzoek kwam zijn potentieel echt naar voren; New Pleasure VDL scoorde maar liefst 87,5 punten. Voor zijn vermogen, rijdbaarheid en aanleg ontving hij maar liefst een 9,0 en voor alle overige springonderdelen scoorde de For Pleasure-zoon een overtuigende 8,5. Hij won alle voorrondes van de hengstencompetitie in de klasse 1.20 en werd met Hessel Hoekstra dan ook als overall kampioen gekroond in Den Bosch.

Father For Pleasure jumped to Olympic team gold in 1996 and 2000 under both Lars Nieberg and Marcus Ehning, growing in breeding to become one of the most influential stallions of all time. The modern chestnut stallion New Pleasure VDL is bred from the mare Lady-A ter Putte, which was active at the 1.45m level under Andres Vereecke. In breeding, she has already produced the Zangersheide approved stallions Quick Star ter Putte and Rock Star ter Putte. In addition, Lady-A ter Putte is the full sister of the famous Elvis ter Putte. New Pleasure excels in athletic ability, good reflexes, and a lot of overview. In the KWPN performance test, his potential really stood out; New Pleasure VDL scored an impressive 87.5 points. He received a 9.0 for his ability, rideability, and talent, and an convincing 8.5 for all other jumping components. He won all the preliminary rounds of the stallion competition in the 1.20 class and was crowned the overall champion in Den Bosch with rider Hessel Hoekstra.
