Ermitage Kolone

“The talk of the town”, Belgisch kampioen van 2023 en paard van het jaar bij onze zuiderburen; Ermitage Kalone. Met zijn negen jaar werd hij onder Gilles Thomas soeverein Belgisch kampioen in Lanaken, waarna hij indruk maakte met plaatsingen in Barcelona, Maastricht (6e in de GP) en Mechelen (5e in de GP).

Zijn vader Catoki presteerde op het hoogste niveau onder Philipp Weishaupt en Emil Hallundback. Reeds vele van zijn nakomelingen springen ook op het hoogste niveau, zoals onder andere Catch Me If You Can onder Ann Kellnerova en Contanga 3 met Alberto Zorzi.

De moeder van Ermitage is de Kannan-dochter Belleaventure Kalone, die als jong paard geblesseerd raakte en alleen voor de fokkerij is ingezet. Ermitage is haar eerste product. Zijn grootmoeder Blague du Maury sprong zelf op 1.35m niveau. Zij is onder andere de moeder van Vertige Kalone (1.45m), Elixir Kalone (1.40m) en Prestige Kalone, die 1.60m springt onder Philippe Rozier. Verderop zien we de merrie Jasione AA, die tevens de moeder is van de hengst Quercus du Maury en grootmoeder van de bekende Anglo-Arabische hengst Fusain du Defey.

De nakomelingen van de prachtige voshengst zijn langgelijnd, hebben maat en vallen op door hun bovengemiddelde springkwaliteiten. Zowel bij het BWP als Zangersheide zijn de eerste zonen van Ermitage al goedgekeurd.

His father, Catoki, performed at the highest level under Phillip Weishaupt and Emil Hallundback. Many of his offspring are already jumping at the highest level, including Catch Me If You Can under Ann Kellnerova and Contanga 3 with Alberto Zorzi.

Ermitage’s mother is the Kannan daughter Belleaventure Kalone, who was injured as a young horse and only used for breeding. Ermitage is her first product. His grandmother, Blague du Maury, jumped at the 1.35m level. She is the mother of Vertige Kalone (1.45m), Elixir Kalone (1.40m), and Prestige Kalone, who jumps at 1.60m under Philippe Rozier. Further up in the line we see Jasione AA who is also the mother of the stallion Quercus du Maury and the grandmother of the well-known Anglo-Arabian stallion Fusain du Defey.

The offspring of the beautiful chestnut stallion are long-lined, have size, and stand out for their above-average jumping qualities. Both the BWP and Zangersheide have already approved the first sons of Ermitage.
